Despu\u00e9s de la selecci\u00f3n de 6 vecindarios de menores y mayores recursos seg\u00fan las caracter\u00edsticas informadas en el Atlas de Salud de Vecindarios de la Ciudad de Nueva York, las fuentes de informaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s actualizadas determinaron los restaurantes y tiendas minoristas de alimentos de cada vecindario. Para evaluar los cierres de COVID-19 para restaurantes, tiendas minoristas de alimentos y vendedores de productos agr\u00edcolas, el equipo del estudio sigui\u00f3 un riguroso procedimiento de controles: Internet, llamadas y en persona. Este estudio encontr\u00f3 que los vecindarios de menores recursos ten\u00edan menos establecimientos de comida, los restaurantes tienen m\u00e1s probabilidades de cerrar que las tiendas minoristas de alimentos y que hubo mayores proporciones de cierres de establecimientos de comida por COVID-19 en los vecindarios chinos en comparaci\u00f3n con otros vecindarios. En conclusi\u00f3n, los establecimientos de comida en barrios \u00e9tnicamente chinos han enfrentado un impacto desproporcionado durante el COVID-19. Los restaurantes y los vendedores de productos agr\u00edcolas se vieron particularmente afectados socioecon\u00f3micamente.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hallazgos actualizados de 2023:<br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rpubs.com\/shahmirhali\/coclo2023report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #01603f;\">Mapeo del repunte del entorno de frutas y verduras frescas de la ciudad de Nueva York &#8211; Estudio de cierres de Covid de la Universidad de Nueva York (2019-2023)<\/span><\/strong><\/a><strong><span style=\"color: #01603f;\"><br \/><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sobre la base de los hallazgos iniciales descritos anteriormente, se recopilaron datos adicionales en 2021 y 2023 para evaluar el impacto a largo plazo de la pandemia en los vendedores de frutas y verduras frescas (FFV), en particular, y si el entorno minorista de FFV ha comenzado a recuperarse desde entonces el inicio de la pandemia. Para este estudio se seleccionaron 8 vecindarios en Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens y el Bronx, que reflejan aproximadamente 1,2 millones de personas y 52 kil\u00f3metros cuadrados y comprenden comunidades con grandes poblaciones chinas de altos y bajos ingresos: Chinatown, East Harlem, Upper East Side, Park Slope, Sunset Park, Brownsville, Flushing y South Bronx.
